PhD students
PhD admissions run through the Department of Data Science's own process — see the department's admissions page. Apply there; I review applications through that process and don't have a separate channel for reaching me directly.
MS thesis students
IISER Pune students only
Before writing, look at the Research page for the kind of problems the group works on, and talk to current group members (see People) about what a project looks like day to day.
When you do write, keep it short: include a copy of your transcript. Instead of a project pitch, it suffices to let me know in one line what interests you.
Semester project students
IISER Pune students only
Same process as MS thesis students above: check the Research page and talk to group members first, then a short email with your transcript and whether you lean toward coding or theory.
Summer project students
IISER Pune students only
